and it's correct - you do get what you pay for - hence, my inference that the "not so prestigious" companies more often than not, offer "the cheapest product". I didn't just start buying tires in the last ten years, so I have a little history supporting my view. I wouldn't bother investing my money in Falken's, Kumhos or whatever else a lot of people use. Quite frankly, if they don't perform to my expectations - I'm SOL, because I'll still have to go out and buy what I call good rubber. Bottom Line - BFG performance tires have always provided great handling and great "dollar to fun ratio" value for me, so I continue to buy them. I liked them better than even the highly praised Gatorbacks (the standard all other tires were measured against for the longest time). I can't count the number of Gatorbacks I bought before switching over.
